Alert:  Village of Ashwaubenon Response to COVID-19 Pandemic!

The Patrol Division is the backbone of most departments. With 50 officers assigned to this area, ours in no exception. They are usually the first contact with the public. Although all these officers are trained as Paramedics or Emergency Medical Technicians along with being certified Firefighters, the busiest part of their work day involves police patrol. The officers patrol over 13 square miles. The Village has an average daytime population of over 50,000 people that visit here to work, shop, or take part in the many entertainment venues. They respond to approximately 18,600 calls for service each year. They keep active in traffic enforcement issuing over 3,100 traffic warnings and over 3,100 traffic citations during 2016. This enforcement has a direct correlation to a reduction in traffic accidents with injuries last year. These officers take great pride in their department by participating in a Citizen Ride Along program to assist citizens in better understanding the nature of the job.
