|Hydrant Flushing|The Water Utility will be conducting a hydrant flushing program the week of May 22nd through May 26th. The purpose of the program is to exercise the hydrants and flush out the water mains. Hydrant flushing will take place in the area of the Village north of STH 172. The water is completely safe during all stages of the flushing program; however, please check the water for discoloration prior to washing any clothes on these dates. Please contact the Water Utility at 492-2335 with any questions or concerns.
|Ashwaubenon Board of Review|The Village of Ashwaubenon Board of Review is scheduled for Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am or until all objections are heard. An appeal to a property owner’s assessment must be provided in oral or written notice at least 48 hours before, no later than 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Forms are available online from WDOR website or from the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer at 492-2302.
|Village Trustee Vacancy - Ward 1 & 2|Due to the recent vacancy of the Village Trustee - Wards 1 & 2 seat, the Village of Ashwaubenon is accepting letters of introduction and resumes’ of those citizens whom reside in Wards 1 & 2 and are interested in serving their community in this capacity.
The deadline for submittal of letters/resumes’ is no later than Thursday, May 25, 2017. Thereafter, candidates will be interviewed by the Village Board of Trustees with subsequent appointment in June, 2017.
Appointment to this seat ends April 16, 2018. A special election for this trustee seat shall commence next April, with the winner fulfilling the remaining two years of the term of office. read more ...

|Emerald Ash Borer Discovered in Ashwaubenon|
Ashwaubenon is the newest municipality in Brown County to confirm an infestation of emerald ash borer (EAB) following previous discoveries in Green Bay, Howard, DePere and the Towns of Glenmore and Morrison. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection designated Brown County as a quarantined County in 2009.
Village Forester Tim Bauknecht made the discovery on January 26. Branch samples were collected from the tree and subsequently suspicious larval galleries were noticed under the bark. Linda Williams, WI-DNR Regional Forest Health Specialist, confirmed the samples as showing positive signs for EAB on February 4. read more ...
|Construction Update - Ashland Ave|
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) will be completing a reconstruction of the pavement along Ashland Avenue from 8th Street (in De Pere) to Lombardi Avenue during the 2017 construction season. Work will start the week of February 6th and last through August 4th. In general, the work will consist of bridge reconstruction, railroad crossing replacement, concrete repair, asphalt milling and asphalt paving.
The first portion of the project, starting the week of February 6th, will involve the replacement of the Ashwaubenon Creek Bridge located just north of Parkview Road. Work on this bridge will last until late April and will involve the closure of Ashland Avenue between Parkview Road and Hansen Road.
Following the bridge construction, roadway reconstruction will commence in early May and last through August. This work will be done in sections to maintain as much free-flow traffic as possible.

|Ashwaubenon Partners with NEWEYE|The Village of Ashwaubenon recently joined forces with NEWEYE. The NEWEYE Network is a collaboration of communities in Northeast Wisconsin to provide residents with an enhanced public media service. The NEWEYE Network will be providing informative, educational, and entertaining content for all residents.
While traditionally Community TV can only be viewed on cable television systems, the NEWEYE Network is taking content delivery to the next level. In addition to the traditional cable television systems, NEWEYE content can be seen on AT&T U-Verse, through a live-streaming WebTV Portal, on Roku Set-Top streaming devices, and soon to come, directly over-the-air broadcasting so that all residents will be able to see content affecting their communities. read more ...
