Village Sets EAB Detection Traps

Due to cuts in the Federal budget, the State of Wisconsin’s ability to conduct detection trapping  for EAB has been significantly reduced in 2012.  Since early detection is critical to effectively managing an infestation, Village staff elected to place 6 green Funnel EAB detection traps throughout the Village in 2012.  Detection trapping efforts were expanded in 2013 by adding purple panel traps.  We did NOT find any EAB in our detection traps in 2014.  Traps locations are shown on the EAB Detection Trapping Map at the following locations:

Green Funnel Purple Sticky
Ashwaubomay Park Ashwaubomay Park
Klipstine Park Fort Howard Park
Argonne Park Aubinger Park  (street tree)
Smith Park Canterbury Park
Pioneer Park Hidden Valley Park
1285 Finch Lane

Please do not disturb these traps!!!  If you see one on the ground please report it to the Department Office at (920) 492-2331 so it can be re-installed by Village staff.
